Looking back has never helped anyone, like Lot’s wife, looking at the past only paralyzes you. But looking ahead moves you forward. We all want to move forward to be our best selves in 2022. However, nothing will change unless we all start making better choices and understanding and accepting dark days and difficult situations lie ahead if we want to experience a more abundant life.

The Gift is in the Lesson
No one in their right mind has ever gotten down on their knees and asked God to send them trouble. At all cost, we try to avoid misfortune and pain, as much as possible. Since our day to day troubles are overwhelming, draining us of our hope and energy. Adversities are never-ending and sometimes, it is irritating to know that Jesus Christ guaranteed we will face troubles in this life. So where is the comfort? What is the peace? Lord what is the point to my pain? But maybe…the answer to the last question is the one we need.
Weak Ones are the Real Ones
Grind culture will be and has been the death of many Americans. And with the rise of social media it appears as if you are not doing enough in comparison to your followers to be success, to claim wealth, status, and to discover happiness. But what if I told you peace and contentment does not come from attaining massive amount of wealth, but it comes looking within and admitting how important it is for us to rest, reflect, and allow God to rejuvenate our souls.
A Dash of Adversity
“I feel like I have all the pieces in my puzzle but they’re just not coming together.” Have you ever felt like this? You know certain parts of your life whether your career or love life are before you and yet you do not have the power to fit these pieces together. No matter how much you pray or spend time with God, this onslaught of adversity refuses to leave. Lessons from the Adulting Playbook
Have you ever thought where did I ever go wrong? I followed the directions given to me word from word. I bubbled in the right answers. I passed every test and it still feels like I’am sinking in my adult life when I should be prospering. Not a great career or shaky finances. Jesus never promises life will be easy, yet He will give us clarity the minute, even us struggling twenty somethings, humble ourselves and ask for His help.
Keep it a Secret
There are some people who cannot keep anything a secret. Even after the Mighty God told them to. The last thing we should do is expose our good deeds, when Jesus warns us to do good unto others for God’s glory. Are we secret keepers or consistent, glory hog whistle blowers?
Shouting on the Mountainside
Has your desperate prayers and questions to God ever passed unanswered? Being on the mountainside, and only hearing your echo plays tricks on the mind. We begin to wonder if God hears our prayers and concerns, when in fact God has never left us. Always remember the master is quiet, when the pupil takes his test. Take a read, and see if yourself, and whatever you do, don’t give up!

Heaven cannot come fast enough, especially when living on Earth is painful. But what can you do but be honest before God, and have late night conversations with the King? He is the answer.
