God wants me to learn how to trust in Him at all times. Including this time where I have not the slightest clue where my life is headed. I have zero insight into my future and have received no calculations regarding the life ahead of me. Some people get excited at a future entirely unwritten or shielded from their eyesight, but such uncertainty spikes my anxiety, creating unhealthy, ruinous thoughts about myself and others in my mind, stirring negative emotions of frustration, bitterness in me, and exacerbating fears and feelings of abandonment, loneliness, and being misunderstood within me.
A relationship without trust will never last this especially includes your relationship with God. To believe and see God as reliable and completely trustworthy Person, helps you to endure life’s many delays and disappointments. But when trust is absent, so is the power to persevere potentially opening the door to resentment and bitterness. So it is important to take preventive measures and discover why God’s love is the love you can always trust.
Who you trust is one of the most important things in your life, because who or what you trust can make or break you. The Bible comprises several commands encouraging us to place our trust wholeheartedly in the Lord God Almighty. Not placing our trust in ourselves, our spouses, our jobs, our money, so we can live happier lives. With our trust in the Lord, we will never fall victim to fear, because God is God, and there is no one like Him.
Okay, let’s be frank for a minute! America has millions of christians living everywhere. People see our Christian focal points and our staples, which are our churches, community centers, and conferences. Our Bibles are plastered in every library, however how many of us are living the true Christian life. In Francis Chan’s “Crazy Love” he reminds us of how God’s love is our motivation to change and not remain the same.
There are so many reasons to place our faith in God and at the end of our day. We always come to Him last. God is not the last resort. He is the Sovereign God and sometimes we need a fresh reminder, explaining to us, why God should be our only place holder for faith.
Life is scary. The dark unknown or the uncertainty of the future is the exact reason why, people have coping mechanisms. Drinking, overeating, sex, drugs, and other sinful activities are ways we seek to calm our hearts and minds. But what if I told you we don’t no longer need to cope, for Jesus is our security?
I remember when I was in college and now I look back thanking God to how He shaped. I am also looking back, seeing all the mistakes I made and how they could have easily been avoided. College was experience I’d never regret. From stress to peer pressure to worry and anxiety, I’ve learned how to handle the craziness in this wonderful, but chaotic experience.
