Looking Back

Looking back has never helped anyone, like Lot’s wife, looking at the past only paralyzes you. But looking ahead moves you forward. We all want to move forward to be our best selves in 2022. However, nothing will change unless we all start making better choices and understanding and accepting dark days and difficult situations lie ahead if we want to experience a more abundant life.

Because all I need to know is God

God wants me to learn how to trust in Him at all times. Including this time where I have not the slightest clue where my life is headed. I have zero insight into my future and have received no calculations regarding the life ahead of me. Some people get excited at a future entirely unwritten or shielded from their eyesight, but such uncertainty spikes my anxiety, creating unhealthy, ruinous thoughts about myself and others in my mind, stirring negative emotions of frustration, bitterness in me, and exacerbating fears and feelings of abandonment, loneliness, and being misunderstood within me.

The Gift is in the Lesson

No one in their right mind has ever gotten down on their knees and asked God to send them trouble. At all cost, we try to avoid misfortune and pain, as much as possible. Since our day to day troubles are overwhelming, draining us of our hope and energy. Adversities are never-ending and sometimes, it is irritating to know that Jesus Christ guaranteed we will face troubles in this life. So where is the comfort? What is the peace? Lord what is the point to my pain? But maybe…the answer to the last question is the one we need.

There is No Jesus in Judging Others

“Only Jesus can judge me,” and this is a true, biblical statement! The same Savior who bore our sins and crucified them on the Cross is the only One capable of rightly judging any of us. So, if God gave the right of judgment to the Son, why do us as Christians fail to realize this. Why do we feel compelled to evaluate and criticize other people’s lives when our own hearts are not in the right place. Sometimes, it is good to have a refresher about how a critical, self righteous spirit does not bring glory to Jesus!

A Love You Can Trust

A relationship without trust will never last this especially includes your relationship with God. To believe and see God as reliable and completely trustworthy Person, helps you to endure life’s many delays and disappointments. But when trust is absent, so is the power to persevere potentially opening the door to resentment and bitterness. So it is important to take preventive measures and discover why God’s love is the love you can always trust.

Finding the Blessings in “Hard”ships

Sometimes, it really does feel like these rough seasons are here to stay. That there is no silver lining in sight. Your circumstances have pummeled you to the ground and you cannot find another reason to smile or go on. But I challenge you my friend, to not look beyond what you see, but to take a great harsh look at your reality. To see how the Lord God is working in your situation and how He is highlighting the unrecognized blessings in your life in new ways!

A Dash of Adversity

“I feel like I have all the pieces in my puzzle but they’re just not coming together.” Have you ever felt like this? You know certain parts of your life whether your career or love life are before you and yet you do not have the power to fit these pieces together. No matter how much you pray or spend time with God, this onslaught of adversity refuses to leave. Well, my friends have you considered that a life void of adversity is not written in the books for anyone. Read my post about how I handle a dash of adversity sprinkled through my day.

God Affirms Me

I hate the jitteriness of anxiety. The crippling unknowns you feel as life’s situations hits you so many different ways. If its not a parent, then it’s a student, or creating an assignment. Read how I handle the effects of unknowns at work, and how the Lord God affirms us, as believers.

Me and Anxiety

Lately, the responsibilities of my life have been doubling up and it seems like I cannot get a moment to breathe. However, the way I respond is entirely different, no longer am’I running from my fears and coping with negative practices.
