The Gift is in the Lesson

No one in their right mind has ever gotten down on their knees and asked God to send them trouble. At all cost, we try to avoid misfortune and pain, as much as possible. Since our day to day troubles are overwhelming, draining us of our hope and energy. Adversities are never-ending and sometimes, it is irritating to know that Jesus Christ guaranteed we will face troubles in this life. So where is the comfort? What is the peace? Lord what is the point to my pain? But maybe…the answer to the last question is the one we need.

There is No Jesus in Judging Others

“Only Jesus can judge me,” and this is a true, biblical statement! The same Savior who bore our sins and crucified them on the Cross is the only One capable of rightly judging any of us. So, if God gave the right of judgment to the Son, why do us as Christians fail to realize this. Why do we feel compelled to evaluate and criticize other people’s lives when our own hearts are not in the right place. Sometimes, it is good to have a refresher about how a critical, self righteous spirit does not bring glory to Jesus!

Trust and Time

Who you trust is one of the most important things in your life, because who or what you trust can make or break you. The Bible comprises several commands encouraging us to place our trust wholeheartedly in the Lord God Almighty. Not placing our trust in ourselves, our spouses, our jobs, our money, so we can live happier lives. With our trust in the Lord, we will never fall victim to fear, because God is God, and there is no one like Him.

Do I dare to hope?

Sometimes, you wonder what is the point in hoping for change if life always knocks you down. Every time you put your best foot forward, you face unexpected unemployment, a flat tire, a failing relationship, the death of a friend or pet. It seems like life can never give us a break, and God is nowhere to be found. I know exactly what that feels like. In this blog post, I investigate the apprehension to hope in fear of opening myself up to more pain and unmet expectations. I question do I dare to hope as I confront the realities of my situation.

Finding the Blessings in “Hard”ships

Sometimes, it really does feel like these rough seasons are here to stay. That there is no silver lining in sight. Your circumstances have pummeled you to the ground and you cannot find another reason to smile or go on. But I challenge you my friend, to not look beyond what you see, but to take a great harsh look at your reality. To see how the Lord God is working in your situation and how He is highlighting the unrecognized blessings in your life in new ways!

Me and Anxiety

Lately, the responsibilities of my life have been doubling up and it seems like I cannot get a moment to breathe. However, the way I respond is entirely different, no longer am’I running from my fears and coping with negative practices.
