Because all I need to know is God

God wants me to learn how to trust in Him at all times. Including this time where I have not the slightest clue where my life is headed. I have zero insight into my future and have received no calculations regarding the life ahead of me. Some people get excited at a future entirely unwritten or shielded from their eyesight, but such uncertainty spikes my anxiety, creating unhealthy, ruinous thoughts about myself and others in my mind, stirring negative emotions of frustration, bitterness in me, and exacerbating fears and feelings of abandonment, loneliness, and being misunderstood within me.

There is No Jesus in Judging Others

“Only Jesus can judge me,” and this is a true, biblical statement! The same Savior who bore our sins and crucified them on the Cross is the only One capable of rightly judging any of us. So, if God gave the right of judgment to the Son, why do us as Christians fail to realize this. Why do we feel compelled to evaluate and criticize other people’s lives when our own hearts are not in the right place. Sometimes, it is good to have a refresher about how a critical, self righteous spirit does not bring glory to Jesus!

It’s His Unfailing Love

Acts and blessings of God’s unfailing love can catch us off guard and surprise us when we least expect it. His unfailing love are daily reminders showing us how much God cares for us, and although He is the Great God of the Universe, His concern for ruling is as great as His interest in the intimate and weary moments of our lives. To experience this wonder, all we have to do is open ourselves up to His love.

Finding the Blessings in “Hard”ships

Sometimes, it really does feel like these rough seasons are here to stay. That there is no silver lining in sight. Your circumstances have pummeled you to the ground and you cannot find another reason to smile or go on. But I challenge you my friend, to not look beyond what you see, but to take a great harsh look at your reality. To see how the Lord God is working in your situation and how He is highlighting the unrecognized blessings in your life in new ways!

God Affirms Me

I hate the jitteriness of anxiety. The crippling unknowns you feel as life’s situations hits you so many different ways. If its not a parent, then it’s a student, or creating an assignment. Read how I handle the effects of unknowns at work, and how the Lord God affirms us, as believers.

Check your Lifestyle

Okay, let’s be frank for a minute! America has millions of christians living everywhere. People see our Christian focal points and our staples, which are our churches, community centers, and conferences. Our Bibles are plastered in every library, however how many of us are living the true Christian life. In Francis Chan’s “Crazy Love” he reminds us of how God’s love is our motivation to change and not remain the same.

Realigning your Focus

I took a brief hiatus from my time on social for my A Meeting at the Well profile. In the time spent alone, the Holy Spirit taught me a few lessons, and helped me remember how strong I really am.

Reading is Good for Christians

When was the last time you actually read the Bible? The last time God’s Word renewed your mind and transformed your way of thinking. God did not give us His Word simply for it to collect dust, and if you don’t read it. You are surely missing out on some hidden treasures!

Jesus Brings the Change

If you’re thinking change in your life is impossible, then don’t let Satan or your flesh fool you! A Christian in Christ has no choice but to grow!

God, You, and Discipline

Discipline does not feel good at it. Especially, when you feel like you’re being unfairly punished. Why does God use punishment as a tool? How useful is it?
